“It was like coming home… only to no home I’d ever known. I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like… magic.” 

The hopeless romantic in me eats that line up every time (Sleepless in Seattle for those still guessing). For me that is what home is. Magic. It’s a place where unconditional love and acceptability of all those things we call imperfections live and are accepted and we are loved for them. Not because we are tolerant but because we just do. It’s what makes us special, unique, and the bonus is that only the people we let into our crazy world know about us. To them that is normal. We are trusted and loved for just being us. It is the simple things like taking a hand and it giving you butterflies or that feeling of peace that lets you know you are home.

Home. It is filled with stories, sentimentality, and the wear and tear of every day. That is what Rachel and David’s day felt like to me. The comforts of home. My favorite place (The Mountains), laughter filled families celebrating a monumental day, Moms and Dads tearing up (a vulnerable feeling, a loss and yet a happy one), so much pride and joy and…LOVE.

Rachel and David love to travel, love to read, and they love their families, but most of all they love the world. They are gracious and kind and loving, go with the flow kind of awesomeness. I was humbled by the amount of love that surrounded them too.

I am always taken aback at how much I receive from my couples. I learn so much from them and I am so so thankful for those gifts.

Rachel and David. Thank you for making me feel like I was home among your friends and family. It was truly a magical day and I wish you so much fun, laughter, and love on your new adventure.

I loved the vintage book theme for their centerpieces. The Bundt Cake’s fabulous mini bundt cakes and larger bunt cake were a unique addition to their wedding decor. So Pretty! Being the world travelers that they are, Rachel and David wanted to do something a little different for their guest book. They had all their guests sign a globe that will sit in their home. Did I mention they are traveling to Borneo for their honeymoon!!! Amazing (and jealous)!!!Gosh I love this barn…Choreographed 1st dances are pretty much my favorite thing ever.
